Data Science + Machine Learning Accelerating Financial Planning and Analysis

Data science? Machine learning? Most people associate those terms with the latest in artificial intelligence, or robotics…but finance?

Oracle EPM Cloud has introduced a new set of breakthrough capabilities named Intelligent Performance Management (IPM) that uses data science, machine learning, and pattern recognition technology to make data analysis faster and more intelligent.

In this session we’ll discuss the primary types of “insights” and how they can be effectively leveraged in financial planning and analysis. We’ll then use this as a setup for a brief demonstration of these features in the application. We’ll walk through a standard budgeting and forecasting cycle and show the attendees where the Insight Discovery process can add tremendous value to your data analysis efforts.

Lastly, we’ll wrap up with a few implementation considerations, so you can leverage this exciting new technology in your organization.
